Comme son nom l'indique, le but du livre était de dénoncer l'hégémonie du travail , qui a trop souvent tendance à prendre l'ascendant sur notre vie. Il était accompagné d'un graphique en camembert montrant que le travail seul n'était pas capable de nous donner une vie équilibrée . Et on nous encourageait donc à donner une place plus importante à des choses comme la culture physique, la famille et les amis. Bref, on pouvait voir ça comme un avertissement à l'attention des workaholics , ou tout simplement une invitation à suivre le fameux proverbe "prends le temps de vivre, car le temps te prendra". Maintenant si on y réfléchi, c'est bien beau de décrier le travail mais et l'argent dans tout ça ? Now if you think it is all very well to decry the work and money but in all this?
