A little trick that requires no software: just copy the application shortcuts in the folder C: \ Documents and Settings \ \ SendTo ". Note that this is a hidden folder. When opening the file, simply go into the menu "Send To" and choose the application. Raccourci indispensable (je dirais presque obligatoire !) : le bloc-notes bien sûr ! Shortcut needed (I say almost mandatory!): The notebook of course!

Arg il faut bien sûr lire : “C:\Documents and Settings\Utilisateur\SendTo” Arg must of course read: "C: \ Documents and Settings \ User \ SendTo"
The blog does not like me to put "User" between "...

I often need to open a file with Vim and this whatever the file extension. So I made a script for AutoHotkey that when I'm in a file browser and I press F12, the file is opened with vim. Voici le script correspondant: Here is the corresponding script:
; ;
; open with vim ; Open with vim
; ;
F12:: F12:
IfWinActive, ahk_class CabinetWClass IfWinActive, ahk_class CabinetWClass
{ (
Send, {F2}^c{ESC} Send, (F2) ^ c (ESC)
name := Clipboard name: = Clipboard
Send, !d^c Send,! D ^ c
dir := Clipboard dir: = Clipboard
Send, {TAB} Send, (TAB)
Run, “C:\Program Files\Vim\vim71\gvim.exe” “%dir%\%name%” Run "C: \ Program Files \ Vim \ vim71 \ gvim.exe" "% dir% \% name%"
} )
return return

@ Lorelei: Yes it's true that we may use "Send To" or "send to" windows to the French. I had not thought about using this menu for that.
@ Didier Bretin: thank you for the code, it can also work for other editor Vim.
