The Range: the secrecies of a Virtuoso of the Dredger is a book on the seduction which I read on the councils of daN and which radically changed my way of conceiving the seduction. I literally swallowed the 450+ pages of the book in original version and I propose to you to summarize the points here most outstanding…
If you are terrorized with the idea to approach a woman, that you râtez all your approaches or are systematically relegated to the row of good friend, then you belonged to the basic nice fellows frustrated (in English: AFC: Average Frustrated Chump). But you reassure, all is not lost for you. Even if you did not develop your capacity of seduction naturally, you can still become a Virtuoso of the English Dredger (: PUA: PickUp Artist) thanks to the councils of those which became it. The author of the book, Neil Strauss, of it is the alive proof. And The Game describes its metamorphosis.
Neil Strauss is a writer of NewYork Times. In 2003, one asks him to take part in the development of a book, The Layguide, gathering the knowledge of a dozen virtuosos of the dredger who have regularly shared their experiments via the newsgroups for one decade. The discovery of this medium upsets it and makes him become aware that there is no fate. It could also learn how to him to have success with the women.
By surveying the forums of seduction, it taken little by little conscience of certain intellectual guides who were detached from the batch. There was Mystery, a magician; Ross Jeffries; a hypnotist; Rick H., a contractor millionaire; David DeAngelo, a notary; Juggler, an actor; David X, a worker of building site; and Steve P., a so powerful seducer that the women paid it to learn with better doing love. All had invented practical methods which gradually transformed the seduction into an exact science. Neil had given itself the objective of all to meet them, a search which was going to last 2 years.

this book is absolutely funny but the method does not function on all the women. It is studied so much which it is too visible. The guys, on the pretty vases and the simplettes go there but do not await more these methods.

Yes that is seen in particular when it tries to allure the guitarist of the group of Courtney Love. The women without complex and well in their skin are harder to influence. But nevertheless without this work on itself, I doubt that the author finally succeeded in alluring it.

This summary east impresses errors. Though many of these errors come from the book itself. Neil Strauss discovered the community well before 2003, Layguide existed well before 2003, and it belonged to the community much more than 2 years.
Obviously it had to change much details to make its book easier “to swallow” for the readers and the editors.
But it is nevertheless a book very diverting.

Argancel: it is intentionally fuzzy, in the book. My opinion it is that sells better when he says that it was 2 years there only, rather than 4-6 years…
Finally I did not seek so much to correct you (considering you speak about the book, and thus you are right if it is not considered that the book), to only inform a little that the things were sensationalisées, reinflated, etc, so that makes a beautiful story be told in a book.
