Question with the readers: do you work in music?
We spoke yesterday about the ChatterBlocker software, which makes it possible to create an sound environment to be unaware of the undesirable discussions of the colleagues. I would like now that one speaks a little music, as a vector supporting the motivation and the concentration.
Personally, I adore to work in music. It is a means of associating work with the pleasure of listening and thus of making a kind of amalgam between the 2. In particular when one is tired a little, that makes it possible to stimulate the spirit and to remain waked up and dynamic. There is thus easier to remain a long time concentrated on its task.
I recognize on the other hand that the music can have a disturbing effect. And I would say that the more aggressive the music is, the more it should have been listened to a long time before being able to work above. After this period of adaptation, our brain can then make abstraction easily of it when one must concentrate on a difficult task. Personally, it arrives to me thus sometimes of zapper it quasi totality of an album because I was entirely absorbed by my work.
Of course, in certain situations where the problem is really complex, it can be good to work in total silence, because the music would frustrate more than another thing. But most of the time, I manage to work more effectively with music rather than without.
I generally draw the music which I listen to in my collection of albums in MP3 of which here some pearls:

Perso I work always in music, but I am not on Ca is an good idea. My work being especially limited to the maths and physics, I have little evil to me concentrated with rock' roll in the ears.
Finally I think that there is worse: radio broadcasts. It very often sometimes happens to me to listen to France Info (one of the rare radios of which I support the tone). And good the bah it is impossible to work.

I often work in music but the style depends on the type of work, my mood, my concentration or my state of tiredness.
After one night of work, to finish an asking project of the artistic creativity, I listen to especially Celtic music: DaN Ar Braz & the Heritage of the Celts, Urban Trad, Afro Celt Sound System it is instigating! Or then a best off of Johnny Clegg well rate/rhythm.

For my part the music helps me only if it is completely instrumental. As soon as there is a voice, and even more with one French vote, that disturbs me completely. From where my preference for the purely instrumental BO or groups. The classical music is also very well. To the house I connect myself on two radios: rivendell (http://www.radiorivendell.com/) and sleepbot (http://www.sleepbot.com/ambience/broadcast/). But I note nevertheless that does not go all the time. A calm environment and in which there is no noise is also a productive environment. It seems to me, in any case for me, which there is not rules the strict ones but that depends on my frame of mind.
From where the question that I am often posed: how to be able to concentrate me on what I am making?

that arrives to me, that often depends I forget to put the basic ambience makes of it but I can work very well in music (ptet that to have been musician during years, that helps to be able switcher very easily its brain) And if it is the case, I do not make abstraction of it, on the contrary, the sounds and the rates/rhythms will guide my thoughts and rythmer the reflexion, in short to stimulate me what!
There immediately I am on the last album of G3 but I have hundreds of albums which I venerate and can listen without never wearying me

I work more and more in music.
In fact I was anti-music with the job very a long time. I always found that made large wanker not serious the ear-phones.
And then I discovered that makes some by listening to the musics which are well my concentration was booste with death. Personally a good music of job it is the instrumental one and ESPECIALLY NOT WORDS.
My signal of the moment is:
n1 the last Beasties Servant boys The Mix Up full instrumental. A slaughter.
n 2 Techno Armin Van Buuren 10 years, especially after the meal for a boost at the time of the change of course
n3 Nine Inch Nails Ghost sold directly on line for 5$ 36 pieces.
and then all film Original soundtracks (Kingdom off Heaven, Pirates of the Caribbean etc).
I am thus completely converted with the music with the job, but good it is necessary really to choose, if I put Led Zep it is finished for me. On the other hand instrumental a little a punchy and it is the top of the productivity.

Hello,
I always work in music and besides I very recently decided to divide what I listen to on my blog with excellent the widget of Last.fm.
When I work my tastes go towards the lounge music whose softness does not hang too the spirit and allows me to preserve a good concentration. I listen to also cool jazz (kind Kind off Blue of Miles Davis) as well as the traditional one, primarily of the parts for piano of Mozart and Chopin. Ah yes I forgot, a sometimes little old New with Enya or Lorenna McKennit and also the BO (Mancini, Barry, Herrmann, Shore, Schifrin and less Morricone because its musics are faggots of signs hookers).
I pick and discover much new things (for me) in Deezer, it is the case of the Cocoon group which I appreciated well
Here.

I work better in music. No French words, but English passes very well.
Generally, it is pop-rock'n'roll style Placebo or Starsailor. Software but rate/rhythm. On the one hand, that insulates to me and helps me to concentrate me. In addition, that instigates me and rate/rhythm gives me which prevents me from leaving in daydreams.
On the other hand, if I need + for creativity, I pass then to cooler music, style Elysian Fieds or Nathalie Merchant, more favourable with the divagations of the spirit
